So we had a REALLY rough day yesterday until Patrick got home and I could get Jo some baby tylenol..poor little guy! He's not as hot today and so far there has been no puking, but their still both extremely sick! Snot running down the face, coughing all the time sick :( I hope they get better soon because they need to make a full recovory before I can take them to my Dad's for Thanksgiving. My Nana just recently got out of surgery and she's still very weak so her immune system is very compromised..no good with 2 sick kids and I LOVE thanksgiving!
In other news, I'm starting to get the laundry situation under control. For some reason, we keep our laundry basket by the front door - I know GROSS - and eventually it piles up to the point where it is hard to walk around. Now let me explain this by saying that we have to go to a communal apartment Laundromat where it cost $3 a LOAD to do laundry. Ugh. While we're not destitute, it ends up being something like $100 a month to do laundry because I have such young kids and that's a lot of money for us to JUST do laundry with! On top of that, it's card operated, not coin operated and the machine to charge the card with is in the manager's office. Which is only open from 8am-5pm. Which would be fine. Except our dumb manager is NEVER there during business hours!! I mean like, ridiculously NEVER there. So I can never charge the card! Grrrrr. So today I attempted to do laundry, alone, carting around 2 kids. I went down there and started the 2 loads that my card could afford and decided to go get what I needed at the store and then use the change to charge the card. Big mistake. I was gone maybe 20 minutes, I come back and the woman is gone. AGAIN. Shoot me. Oh and then, wonderfully enough, one of the loads I put in didn't dry all the way and I didn't have enough on the card to start the other load in the dryer. Beautiful. SO, I have to leave my clothes in the dryer and pray that she comes back soon. Luckily I only had to call down there twice and she ended up being there....phew....I hate laundromats!! But I do love THIS laundry detergent!
Yum! If you haven't tried this, you need to! Apple Mango Tango is my fav!
We're going to do some more crafts today if Karsten starts to feel better, but it's not looking great..
Here are a few of my favorite Kid's Craft sites:
Kiddly - Fun Stuff in a blog type format, great for older kids (5+) but I love to look for good ideas to save for later.
Crayola - They have FAB crafts, sorted by age, type, theme, etc..of course!
Playhouse Disney - Fun Printables and some fun crafts too, they switch it up every couple of weeks.
Family Education - My sister sent me this one this morning, great "school-type" projects!
Child Care Land - This one is great, they have a daily themed craft, awesome for younger kids!
Ok that's my post for the day! :)
ETA: Saw this on Elsie Flannigan's Blog and thought it was hilarious:

ugh, I used to do the same thing!! My communal apartment laundry room had 1 washer and 1 dryer, and someone had ALWAYS left their clothes in it... yuk! I HATED hauling all the crap to the laundromat, so I'd wait until I literally had nothing clean, and then go. The benifit of dating Dan, he had a washer/dryer in his apartment, so I used to just ride around with my laundry basket in my car. LOL
