Hi Everyone! I hope your weekend was a good one! Ours wasn't bad, but since Patrick works Tuesday-Sunday, this is actually OUR Sunday, so our weekend isn't over yet! ;) This weekend, I picked up a couple new magazines that were, *GASP* NON scrapbook related! One of which was Martha Stewart's "Homemade Holiday Gifts" which I LOVE and can't put down! *Spoilers ahead so if you are someone who recieves gifts from me, do not pass go!!!"
GO
HEHE ok, you better not be one of those people!
Anyway, she had the best simple gifts in there, including handmade SOAP. Now, I don't fancy myself a soap maker but is sounds soooo easy, I made the 1 hour trek out to our "local" Michael's to pick up some glycerin for the soap base and I found the CUTEST packaging type stuff too!
First, look at these TOTALLY cute Christmas Chinese Take Out Boxes!!!
Oh my gosh, have you ever seen a cuter idea for small presents?! Sooooo Cute! I'm going to put Soap and some TC Albums from Amy Bleser (I have it under good authority is releasing a bunch more this week) in them for some relatives and voila! Done! I also bought these adorable wineglass charms to hang off the handles for an added touch, with some matching ribbons and bows too :)
They came in packs of 4 and have cute flowers, and words like "peace" "love", etc. SOO cute!
Also, they had These cute Mini-Loaf baking dishes that I'm also going to use to put soap in and other goodies :)
Have you ever seen a cuter Reindeer?!?
Anyway, there are some Christmas Gift Spoilers for those around my house. The best part about all of these boxes, and charms and dishes...$1!!!! I Kid you not! They were $1 each and the charms were 4 for $1...isn't that nuts?! If you ahve a Michael's craft store near you..run..don't walk..and go pick some up! I'm feeling very Martha Stewarty this year!
Moving on, I actually scrapped this weekend!! Two of my teams released collections this weekend, eek! I had some major catching up to do! Here are a couple layouts I did with Amanda Rockwell's Back in Black Collection
This collection is so cute, I love it! You should go pick it up if you haven't already!
Here are some layouts I did with Rose Farver's Muted Memories Collection too. It's a "Petite" collection of 5 Mini Kits and soo reasonably priced! Awesome Kits too, kudos to her!
Gosh, I just don't think that there's enough pictures in this post, do you?! LOL Check back later this week for a special Thanksgiving gift for all my friends :)
